| Too poor to buy a piano, Ron learned musical basics on a toy xylophone and in singing classes at school. As a teenager, he borrowed a book and a guitar and got serious. Ron played coffeehouses in Halifax until he landed his first professional gig in a strip joint in 1974. From 1976 to 1983, Ron played all over Alberta with Ruby in the Dust, Wheeler, and Shoes. Then in 1983, Ron got the acting bug, moved to Vancouver and spent the next seven years as a professional actor. He got work in a couple of forgettable movies, but mostly did stage. During that time, he also went to art college where he met his wife, Elise. After an eventful life and fifteen years in the computer industry, in 2007 Ron returned to his roots: music. Ron hails from Nova Scotia. He works and plays in Gatineau, Quebec, near Ottawa. |
